What you’ll bring:
- Active RN license valid in California
- Previous nursing experience in pediatrics, schools, or a similar setting
- Solid assessment, care planning, and documentation skills
- Excellent communication skills for engaging with students, staff, and families
- Ability to adapt quickly and maintain professionalism in an ever-changing environment
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
- Reliability, resourcefulness, and a dedicated, student-focused approach
Your key responsibilities:
- Provide direct nursing care and first aid to students and staff as needed
- Assist with chronic condition management, including medication administration
- Maintain accurate health records in compliance with school and state policies
- Collaborate with teachers, counselors, and families to create supportive care plans
- Educate students and staff on health and wellness best practices
- Respond swiftly to emergencies and health-related incidents
- Participate in Individualized Education Program (IEP) meetings when nursing input is required
- Support public health initiatives within the school community
