Key Qualifications:

  • Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in Maine (or eligibility to obtain)
  • Prior experience in a school or pediatric setting preferred

  • Excellent communication and organizational abilities
  • Collaborative skills to work with educators, families, and support staff

Responsibilities:

  • Provide direct and indirect nursing care to students, addressing acute and chronic health needs
  • Administer prescribed medications and perform first aid for injuries or emergencies
  • Develop, implement, and monitor individualized health care plans
  • Maintain accurate health records in compliance with state and federal regulations
  • Participate in health screenings and promote general wellness initiatives
  • Serve as a resource for health education and counseling to students, staff, and families
