Key Qualifications and Experience:

• Active CNA certification in Colorado
• Prior experience working with pediatric populations, ideally in a school or childcare setting
• Familiarity with tracheostomy care and respiratory equipment
• Ability to respond calmly and efficiently in emergency situations
• Strong communication and collaboration skills with educators, students, and families
• RN Nurses with relevant skills welcome to apply

Core Responsibilities:

• Deliver direct, 1:1 daily care to a first-grade student with a trach, ensuring health and safety needs are met throughout the school day
• Perform ongoing monitoring of the student’s medical status and document care details
• Administer trach care, suctioning, and equipment checks as required for the student’s well-being
• Collaborate closely with classroom teachers, school nurses, and the student’s care team
• Support the student’s participation in classroom activities while promoting their independence
• Communicate important observations or changes in the student’s condition promptly to appropriate staff or medical professionals
