School-Based Registered Nurse (RN) | Aurora, Illinois

Desired Qualifications:

• Valid RN license, eligible for practice in the state
• Previous experience in a school or pediatric setting preferred
• Strong assessment, communication, and organizational skills
• Ability to manage confidential information with integrity and discretion
• Knowledge of current best practices in pediatric and adolescent care
• CPR and First Aid certification required

Key Responsibilities:

• Assess and manage health needs of students and staff during the school day
• Develop care plans and implement individualized interventions for students with chronic health conditions
• Administer medications, provide first aid, and respond promptly to emergency situations
• Maintain accurate health records and ensure compliance with state and district regulations
• Serve as a resource on health and wellness topics for students, staff, and families
• Participate in the development of health policies and collaborate with multidisciplinary school teams
