Key Qualifications:

• Current Registered Nurse licensure through the Illinois Department of Financial and Professional Regulation
• School Nurse Professional Educator License (PEL)
• Experience working with student health records and medication administration in a school setting preferred

• Ability to communicate effectively with staff and maintain accurate documentation

Primary Responsibilities:

• Oversee all health services to confirm completion and compliance at the campus level
• Conduct thorough file reviews, ensuring all doctor’s orders for medication administration are current and accurate
• Audit medications on campus to verify proper quantities and storage
• Review and confirm the validity and accessibility of seizure action plans, allergy action plans, and asthma action plans, ensuring all medications are in-date and readily available
• Provide consultative support on health plan implementation and best practices for campus teams
