Full-Time Registered Nurse 1:1 Care (Trach)

Location: Avondale, AZ

We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Registered Nurse (RN) to provide dedicated 1:1 support for a preschool student in a school setting. This is an excellent opportunity for a pediatric-focused nurse who is comfortable providing specialized medical care while helping a young student safely participate in their educational program.

Student Assignment

• Provide 1:1 nursing support for a preschool-aged student throughout the school day.
• Student requires specialized medical support and assistance with daily care needs.

Schedule

• Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, Friday: 11:13 AM - 2:44 PM
• Every Other Wednesday: Rotating half-day schedule, 7:15 AM - 12:17 PM

Primary Responsibilities

• Provide direct nursing care throughout the school day.
• Monitor and support a student with a tracheostomy (trach).
• Respond appropriately if the tracheostomy becomes dislodged and perform necessary suctioning/airway management.
• Assist with activities of daily living, including toileting and personal care needs.
• Monitor the student's health status and communicate concerns as needed.
• Work collaboratively with school staff and the student's educational team to ensure a safe learning environment.
• Maintain accurate health documentation and medical records.

Required Qualifications

• Active Arizona Registered Nurse (RN) License
• Valid IVP Fingerprint Clearance Card
• Current CPR/BLS Certification
• Experience supporting medically complex pediatric patients
• Experience with tracheostomy care and airway management
