Key Qualifications:
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license
- ASN or BSN degree accepted
- Previous experience in school health, pediatrics, or community wellness is beneficial but not required
- Willingness to apply for the required state PED (reimbursement available for this process)
- Strong communicative, organizational, and critical-thinking skills
- Ability to adapt and remain calm in fast-paced situations
- Open to both local and traveling candidates
Responsibilities:
- Provide direct patient care, first aid, and emergency response to students and staff within the high school setting
- Manage health records, medication administration, and immunization compliance
- Collaborate with educators, counselors, and parents to support students’ overall well-being
- Deliver health education and prevention programs tailored to adolescent needs
- Maintain clear and confidential documentation in line with district and legal standards
- Identify potential health issues and implement appropriate interventions or referrals
