Responsibilities

• Provide general nursing care and health services to students throughout the school day
• Assess and respond to student illnesses, injuries, and medical concerns
• Administer prescribed medications and treatments according to physician orders and district guidelines
• Maintain accurate and confidential student health records
• Monitor students with chronic medical conditions and develop individualized healthcare plans
• Perform health assessments and screenings as needed
• Collaborate with parents, teachers, administrators, and healthcare providers to support student wellness
• Respond to emergencies and provide first aid and nursing interventions when necessary
• Educate students and staff on health-related topics and preventive care practices
• Ensure compliance with state nursing standards and school district health policies

Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) License Required
• Current CPR/BLS Certification
• Previous pediatric, school nursing, or community health experience preferred
• Strong clinical assessment and organizational skills
• Excellent communication and collaboration abilities
• Ability to work independently and manage a diverse caseload
