What we're looking for:

• Active Registered Nurse license from the Illinois Department of Financial and Professional Regulation
• Valid School Nurse PEL (Professional Educator License)
• Previous experience working with school-aged children or within a school setting is a plus
• Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail
• Ability to work independently and collaborate effectively with school personnel
• Strong written and verbal communication abilities

Key responsibilities include:

• Overseeing compliance activities at the campus level to ensure smooth health services operations
• Conducting thorough file reviews to verify that all doctor's orders related to medication administration are current and accurate
• Auditing medications on site to confirm adequate supply and correct dosages
• Reviewing and updating seizure action plans, allergy action plans, and asthma action plans
• Confirming that students have access to non-expired and appropriate emergency medications as outlined in their care plans
• Collaborating with campus staff to address any concerns or discrepancies, promoting best practices in student health management
