Qualifications & Experience:
- Active Registered Nurse license through the Illinois Department of Financial and Professional Regulation.
- Current Professional Educator License (PEL) with a School Nurse endorsement.
- Certified School Nurse (CSN) experience preferred.
- Strong organizational skills with meticulous attention to detail.
- Familiarity with regulatory standards for medication administration in a school setting.
- Ability to collaborate effectively with campus staff and leadership.
Responsibilities:
- Oversee compliance and health protocol completion at the campus level.
- Conduct regular file reviews to confirm all doctor’s orders for medication are current.
- Audit medications to ensure appropriate quantities and administration records.
- Review and monitor seizure, allergy, and asthma action plans for compliance and accessible, non-expired medication.
- Support staff in maintaining best practices in student health and safety.
