School Registered Nurse (RN) in Bedford, NH

Make a meaningful impact in a student's educational journey by providing dedicated support as a 1:1 Registered Nurse for the 2026/2027 school year. This full-time, contract opportunity involves working with a male high school student who requires assistance with all personal care and hygiene needs. In addition to supporting him throughout his school day, you’ll play an essential role by accompanying him on transport to and from school, ensuring safety and well-being at every point in his day.

Key Qualifications:

• Current and unrestricted RN license
• School nursing experience or prior RN work in an educational setting preferred
• Experience with seizure protocols and emergency medication administration (training provided if needed)
• Ability to support all aspects of personal care and hygiene
• Reliable and comfortable riding the school bus and responding to the student’s needs in various environments
• Strong communication skills and a compassionate, discreet approach

Primary Responsibilities:

• Provide 1:1 nursing care for a high school student, attending to medical, personal care, and hygiene needs throughout the school day and during transportation
• Monitor health status and respond promptly to emergencies, including administering seizure medication if needed
• Liaise with school staff, special education professionals, and the student’s family to ensure consistent, high-quality care
• Document care provided and communicate health updates as required
• Foster a supportive, respectful, and encouraging environment for the student

This assignment starts as soon as possible and continues until June 2027, with a schedule of 35–37.5 hours per week, Monday through Friday.
