1:1 Licensed School-Based Registered Nurse (RN) | Belton, South Carolina

In this position, you’ll accompany the student throughout the school day—including required bus rides—ensuring safety, health, and well-being at all times. Your expertise will empower the student to fully participate in academic and social life, making a real difference every day.

Qualifications:

• Active RN or LPN license (LPNs must have ventilator experience)
• Previous experience supporting individuals with physical disabilities, particularly young adults or children
• Current CPR certification and knowledge of school nurse protocols
• Ability to work independently and adapt to changing needs in a dynamic setting
• Commitment to confidential, patient-centered care
• High School nursing or pediatric experience is highly valued

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide one-on-one care to a paralyzed high school student throughout the school day
• Accompany the student on bus rides to and from school
• Monitor and manage ventilator and other necessary medical equipment
• Communicate proactively with school staff, medical professionals, and the student’s family
• Foster an inclusive, supportive atmosphere that encourages the student’s independence and participation
• Maintain accurate health records and uphold privacy standards

This contract position offers a consistent weekday schedule, 30 hours each week, with the added benefit of Wednesdays off, giving you the flexibility to maintain balance in your personal life.
