Licensed High School School-Based Registered Nurse (RN) - Belton, South Carolina

A school-based nursing role is available to provide dedicated, one-on-one care for a high school student with special medical needs. This contract position is located in Belton, SC, and offers a structured schedule with 30 hours per week, focusing on supporting a student who is paralyzed but cognitively high functioning.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide one-on-one nursing care for a high school student, managing medical needs throughout the school day.
• Monitor and assist with ventilator care; experience with vent support is essential.
• Ride the school bus to accompany and support the student during transportation.
• Collaborate with school staff to ensure a safe, supportive educational environment.

Qualifications:

• Licensed Registered Nurse (RN) or Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) with ventilator experience.
• Certified and licensed to practice nursing in the state.
• Experience working in schools and providing 1:1 nursing care preferred.
• Ability to manage complex medical equipment and respond quickly to medical needs.
• Compassionate, patient-focused approach and strong communication skills.

Schedule and Location:

• Position is located in Belton, SC.
• 30 hours per week, Monday through Friday, with Wednesdays off (student does not attend school on Wednesdays).
• Includes bus riding as part of the daily routine.
