Skills and Qualifications:

  • Active LPN, LVN, or RN license required in Pennsylvania
  • Prior experience working as a school nurse or in pediatric settings preferred
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills
  • Adaptability to varying school environments and student needs
  • Ability to triage urgent care situations and provide basic first aid
  • Commitment to maintaining confidentiality and adhering to all school policies

Responsibilities:

  • Provide essential health services to students during the regular nurse's absence
  • Administer medications, manage health plans, and respond to minor injuries or illnesses
  • Document all treatments and interactions in accordance with school protocol
  • Communicate effectively with students, school staff, and parents regarding health concerns
  • Support students with chronic conditions and collaborate with school teams as needed
  • Contribute to a safe and nurturing school environment
