This role focuses on providing nursing care and health management to students in an educational setting, ensuring a safe, healthy environment where students can thrive. Collaborate with educators and families to develop care plans and deliver essential medical services, making a real difference in students’ daily lives.

Key Qualifications:

• Active RN license in Maine
• Prior experience in a school setting or pediatric care preferred
• Strong understanding of student health needs, emergency interventions, and chronic condition management
• Ability to communicate effectively with students, staff, and families
• Excellent organizational and record-keeping skills

Your Responsibilities:

• Provide direct nursing care and health assessments to students during ESY sessions
• Administer first aid, medications, and prescribed treatments
• Develop and implement care plans for students with specific health needs
• Promote health education and prevention strategies among students and staff
• Assist with emergency preparedness and respond to health incidents as needed
• Maintain accurate health records, in compliance with district and legal requirements
• Collaborate closely with educators, administrators, and families to support overall student well-being

Schedule Highlights:

• Monday-Thursday: 8:30am – 2:30pm
• Friday: 8:30am – 12:30pm
• 28 hours per week during the summer months
