Registered Nurse School Setting - Bolingbrook, IL

Key Qualifications:

• Active Illinois Professional Educator’s License with Certified School Nurse Endorsement
• Licensed Registered Nurse (RN)
• Experience conducting hearing and vision screenings within a school setting
• Proficiency in developing, updating, and maintaining Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) and health plans
• Strong communication and organizational skills
• Ability to work independently as the lead CSN, collaborating with a supportive team of district RNs

Primary Responsibilities:

• Serve as the district’s primary Certified School Nurse, providing expert health services and leadership
• Conduct hearing and vision screenings to monitor and support student health
• Assess, update, and manage individual student health plans and IEPs, coordinating care and accommodations
• Deliver education to students, staff, and families regarding important health issues and safe practices
• Maintain accurate health records and ensure compliance with state mandates
• Collaborate closely with school staff, administrators, and external healthcare providers to ensure comprehensive student care
