School Registered Nurse (RN) in Boston, MA

This contract role is ideal for an RN with school-based experience or a passion for supporting young learners with their healthcare needs.

Qualifications:

• Current, unrestricted RN license in the state of Massachusetts
• Previous experience as an RN in a school or pediatric setting preferred
• Ability to assess, triage, and respond to student health needs promptly and accurately
• Strong communication skills to collaborate with students, families, and staff
• Comfortable with documentation, medication administration, and basic first aid

Responsibilities:

• Oversee student health during the ESY program, managing medications, assessing illnesses or injuries, and responding to emergencies
• Maintain accurate and confidential health records for all students
• Work with educators, support staff, and families to implement individualized healthcare plans and accommodations
• Serve as a health resource for students and staff, promoting wellness and safety throughout the school environment
• Support a positive and inclusive atmosphere, adapting care for students with diverse needs
