Make a difference in students’ lives during the Extended School Year (ESY) as a dedicated Registered Nurse in a dynamic educational environment near Boston, MA. This contract role is ideal for an RN with school-based experience or a passion for supporting young learners with their healthcare needs.
Qualifications:
- Current, unrestricted RN license in the state of Massachusetts
- Previous experience as an RN in a school or pediatric setting preferred
- Ability to assess, triage, and respond to student health needs promptly and accurately
- Strong communication skills to collaborate with students, families, and staff
- Comfortable with documentation, medication administration, and basic first aid
Responsibilities:
- Oversee student health during the ESY program, managing medications, assessing illnesses or injuries, and responding to emergencies
- Maintain accurate and confidential health records for all students
- Work with educators, support staff, and families to implement individualized healthcare plans and accommodations
- Serve as a health resource for students and staff, promoting wellness and safety throughout the school environment
- Support a positive and inclusive atmosphere, adapting care for students with diverse needs
