Requirements:
- Active RN license in New York State
- Prior experience working as a School Nurse (RN) or providing nursing care to children in educational environments
- Familiarity with common childhood conditions, emergency protocols, and medication administration in schools
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, able to connect with students, staff, and families
- Organized, detail-oriented, and adaptable in a dynamic school setting
Responsibilities:
- Administer routine and emergency care to students during school hours
- Manage daily medications, treatments, and health documentation accurately
- Respond quickly and effectively to student illnesses or injuries, following health and safety protocols
- Serve as a resource on health topics for school staff and families
- Monitor and support students with chronic conditions to optimize their well-being and safety at school
- Collaborate closely with teachers, administrators, and allied professionals to promote a healthy learning environment
