Registered Nurse School Setting in Brockport, NY

Requirements:

• Active RN license in New York State
• Prior experience working as a School Nurse (RN) or providing nursing care to children in educational environments
• Familiarity with common childhood conditions, emergency protocols, and medication administration in schools
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, able to connect with students, staff, and families
• Organized, detail-oriented, and adaptable in a dynamic school setting

Responsibilities:

• Administer routine and emergency care to students during school hours
• Manage daily medications, treatments, and health documentation accurately
• Respond quickly and effectively to student illnesses or injuries, following health and safety protocols
• Serve as a resource on health topics for school staff and families
• Monitor and support students with chronic conditions to optimize their well-being and safety at school
• Collaborate closely with teachers, administrators, and allied professionals to promote a healthy learning environment
