Qualifications and Experience:

• Current and valid RN license or Certified School Nurse (CSN) credential
• Experience in school, pediatric, or community health nursing preferred
• Strong assessment and clinical skills to respond to the needs of school-aged children
• Familiarity with state health regulations, immunization requirements, and care planning
• Excellent communication skills for interacting with students, staff, and families
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and maintain composure in fast-paced situations

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide direct care and first aid to students and staff for illness and injuries
• Administer medications per prescriber’s orders and maintain accurate documentation
• Develop and implement individualized healthcare plans for students with chronic conditions
• Conduct health screenings and support immunization compliance
• Serve as a resource for health education and promote wellness across the school
• Collaborate with educators, counselors, and families to ensure students’ access to learning
• Maintain health office supplies and ensure proper infection control practices
