As a school-based RN, you'll collaborate with staff and families to ensure the well-being of children from pre-K through high school, creating a safer, healthier place for them to learn and grow.

Qualifications & Desired Experience:

• Active and unrestricted Registered Nurse license in New York State
• Previous experience or strong interest in working in school settings preferred
• Confident in delivering nursing care for children and adolescents aged 3-18
• Solid understanding of State Health requirements and protocols for youth in educational environments
• Ability to perform and document routine screenings and health assessments
• Effective communication skills and a compassionate, student-centered mindset

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver direct nursing care, first aid, and health assessments to students throughout the school day
• Conduct routine vision, hearing, and scoliosis screenings; perform other state-mandated tests as needed
• Maintain accurate health records and manage student medication administration according to policy
• Coordinate with education teams, parents, and local health authorities regarding student health plans and immunizations
• Support a proactive environment focused on wellness, safety, and preventive care measures for students and staff
