Qualifications and Experience Needed:

• Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state
• Experience working with pediatric, adolescent, or school-aged populations preferred
• Strong clinical skills, including assessment, intervention, care planning, and emergency response
• Excellent organizational, communication, and interpersonal abilities
• Ability to adapt quickly and thrive in fast-paced educational settings
• CPR and First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain)
• Previous school nursing experience is a plus, but not required

Role Responsibilities:

• Provide direct nursing care to students with acute and chronic health conditions
• Respond promptly to medical emergencies and administer first aid as needed
• Monitor and manage medication administration, documentation, and compliance with protocols
• Collaborate with school staff, parents, and healthcare providers to support individual student health plans
• Contribute to educational programming on wellness, safety, and disease prevention
• Maintain accurate medical records and uphold confidentiality
• Participate in IEP and 504 meetings when necessary
• Promote a positive, inclusive, and healthy school climate
