Exciting opportunities are now available for two dedicated Licensed School Nurses (LSN) to support students across five schools in a dynamic, districtwide role. This contract position offers a full academic year commitment and the chance to play a vital part in fostering a safe, healthy school environment for students from August 17, 2026, through May 28, 2027. This onsite position (no remote or virtual work) is perfect for professionals committed to hands-on, high-quality school nursing service.

Desired Qualifications and Certifications:

  • Current and active RN license
  • Valid Public Health Nurse license
  • School Nurse License issued by the Board of Teaching
  • CPR (Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation) certification
  • BLS (Basic Life Support) certification
  • Experience working in school settings or with pediatric populations strongly preferred
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to manage health services over multiple school locations
  • Excellent communication and collaboration abilities

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Oversee and coordinate health services for students districtwide, covering five different school sites
  • Deliver comprehensive nursing care, including emergency response, chronic disease management, and routine health screenings
  • Collaborate with staff, families, and community partners to advocate for student health and well-being
  • Maintain accurate health records and ensure compliance with state and district protocols
  • Train or guide school staff on medical procedures and emergency response
  • Participate in developing health plans and policies to support inclusive learning environments
