School-Based Registered Nurse (RN) | Cambridge, Massachusetts

A contract opportunity is available for a Registered Nurse with school nursing experience in Cambridge, MA. This role involves providing essential healthcare support within a school setting, ensuring the well-being of students and addressing their medical needs with care and professionalism.

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver general nursing care to students throughout the school day.
• Monitor and manage students' health conditions, including medication administration.
• Support students with diabetes, employing specialized knowledge to assist with glucose monitoring and diabetic care protocols.
• Maintain health records and communicate effectively with school staff regarding student health concerns.
• Adhere to school policies and remain on-site during work hours to provide immediate care when needed.

Qualifications:

• Current and valid RN licensure.
• Prior experience as a school nurse is required.
• Strong understanding of pediatric and adolescent health issues.
• Experience working with diabetic students is highly preferred.
• Excellent communication and organizational skills.

Position Details:

• Location: Cambridge, MA.
• Schedule: Monday to Friday, 7:30 AM to 2:30 PM with a 45-minute lunch break.
• Hours: 35 hours per week.
• Contract role starting ASAP through June 22nd.
