School Registered Nurse | Cambridge, Massachusetts

A full-time Registered Nurse (RN) with an active Massachusetts license is needed to provide dedicated 1:1 nursing support in a school setting located in Cambridge, MA. This contract position involves working with a medically fragile student who is wheelchair-bound and non-verbal, communicating via an iPad.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide comprehensive nursing care to a medically fragile student on a 1:1 basis
• Perform suctioning and seizure care as required
• Support student communication using assistive technology (iPad)
• Collaborate with school staff to ensure the student’s medical needs are met in the educational environment
• Availability to provide nursing services at other schools within the district when the assigned student is absent (no bus riding required currently)

Qualifications:

• Active and unrestricted Massachusetts RN license (LPNs not accepted)
• Experience working with medically fragile pediatric patients preferred
• Skilled in suctioning and seizure management
• Ability to maintain patient confidentiality and follow school health policies
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills for working with non-verbal students and school staff
