Qualifications & Experience:
- Active, unencumbered RN license in Massachusetts
- Previous experience as a school nurse or in a pediatric setting preferred
- Ability to assess and respond to student health needs promptly
- Understanding of common school-related medical concerns and emergency procedures
- Strong communication and organizational skills
- Ability to work as part of an interdisciplinary team
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide direct nursing services such as medication administration, first aid, and care for acute and chronic conditions
- Monitor student health, respond to illness or injuries, and document treatments
- Collaborate with staff on implementation of individual health plans
- Educate students and staff on good health practices and safety procedures
- Ensure compliance with state health regulations and school policies
- Serve as a resource for families regarding student health issues
