Desired Experience and Qualifications:
- Current, active license as a Registered Nurse (RN) in Massachusetts
- Demonstrated experience in pediatric nursing, preferably in a school or similar setting
- Skilled in delivering 1:1 care to students in various grade levels (1st, 2nd, 3rd, 4th, 5th, 9th, and 10th)
- Strong assessment, communication, and organizational skills
- Ability to respond effectively and calmly to emergencies or urgent situations
- Knowledge of childhood chronic conditions, allergies, seizure disorders, and medication administration protocols
- Professional, compassionate demeanor with the ability to build rapport with students, families, and staff
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide 1:1 nursing care and monitoring for assigned students requiring daily support
- Implement individualized healthcare plans and collaborate with educators and families to address student health needs
- Administer medications, manage medical devices, and respond to acute health events as needed
- Maintain accurate documentation of care provided and communicate any concerns or updates to appropriate parties
- Educate students and staff on health and wellness topics specific to the school setting
- Support students throughout the school day, including participation in classroom activities, lunch, and transportation as needed
