1:1 Pediatric 1st Grade Registered Nurse School Setting in Cambridge, MA

Desired Experience and Qualifications:

• Current, active license as a Registered Nurse (RN) in Massachusetts
• Demonstrated experience in pediatric nursing, preferably in a school or similar setting
• Skilled in delivering 1:1 care to students in various grade levels (1st, 2nd, 3rd, 4th, 5th, 9th, and 10th)
• Strong assessment, communication, and organizational skills
• Ability to respond effectively and calmly to emergencies or urgent situations
• Knowledge of childhood chronic conditions, allergies, seizure disorders, and medication administration protocols
• Professional, compassionate demeanor with the ability to build rapport with students, families, and staff

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide 1:1 nursing care and monitoring for assigned students requiring daily support
• Implement individualized healthcare plans and collaborate with educators and families to address student health needs
• Administer medications, manage medical devices, and respond to acute health events as needed
• Maintain accurate documentation of care provided and communicate any concerns or updates to appropriate parties
• Educate students and staff on health and wellness topics specific to the school setting
• Support students throughout the school day, including participation in classroom activities, lunch, and transportation as needed
