Desired Skills and Qualifications:

• Active RN license in Minnesota
• Certified School Nurse (CSN) credentials, or eligibility to obtain
• Experience in pediatric, school-based, or community health settings
• LSN (Licensed School Nurse) certifications preferred
• Strong communication and interpersonal abilities
• Ability to manage confidential information sensitively and appropriately
• CPR and First Aid certifications (current or willingness to renew)
• Comfortable with electronic health records and documentation

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver direct nursing care and health assessments to students
• Develop, implement, and monitor health care plans for students with special medical needs
• Collaborate with teachers, counselors, and parents to support students’ physical and emotional health
• Administer medications and perform necessary medical procedures during the school day
• Provide health education to students and school staff on topics such as nutrition, disease prevention, and general wellness
• Respond promptly to health emergencies and coordinate care with outside providers as needed
• Maintain accurate health records in compliance with legal and school requirements
