This position is ideal for a compassionate, dedicated RN who thrives on personalized care and wants to work one-on-one with a student to ensure their health and well-being during the school day. The role requires 30 hours per week, and includes bus riding to provide consistent support throughout the student’s daily routine. With Wednesdays off when the student does not attend school, you’ll benefit from a more flexible weekly schedule.

Qualifications:

• Active RN license required
• Experience in school nursing or pediatric settings preferred
• Comfort and experience working with mobility-impaired students
• Ability to provide direct nursing care and emergency interventions as needed
• Strong communication skills for interaction with students, families, and school staff
• Capable of supervising and supporting a student on the school bus

Responsibilities:

• Deliver 1:1 nursing care, ensuring medical needs are met throughout the school day
• Ride the bus to and from school with the student, providing safe, professional support
• Monitor health status and promptly address any medical concerns
• Collaborate with educators and parents to maintain an optimal learning environment
• Document observations and maintain detailed records in accordance with school policies
• Promote the student’s independence and participation in academic and social activities
