Qualifications and Experience:
- Current, valid Registered Nurse licensure in South Carolina
- Previous experience in a school setting preferred
- Required experience in pediatrics
- Proven work with tracheostomies (Trachs)
- Experience managing G-tubes, including suctioning and tube feeding
- Outstanding communication, organizational, and interpersonal abilities
- Comfortable working independently and within a cohesive multidisciplinary team
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide focused care for two elementary-aged students within the same classroom
- Perform all necessary trach management duties
- Handle G-tube feeding and suctioning as needed
- Collaborate daily with two supportive teacher aides, emphasizing a team approach
- Monitor, document, and communicate student health progress to stakeholders
- Support the broader educational team in fostering optimal student outcomes
