Qualifications and Experience:

• Active RN license in Tennessee (or compact state eligibility)
• Graduate of an accredited nursing program (ASN or BSN)
• Prior experience in pediatric, school, or community health settings strongly preferred
• Strong clinical assessment, triage, and critical thinking skills
• Excellent communication and documentation abilities
• Familiarity with individualized health plans (IHPs), emergency protocols, and immunization requirements
• Passion for working with children and adolescents in diverse settings

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver direct nursing care to students, administering medications and first aid as needed
• Manage chronic conditions such as diabetes, asthma, and allergies
• Maintain and update health records and documentation in compliance with local and federal guidelines
• Collaborate with educators and families to support student learning and health needs
• Participate in IEP/504 plan meetings and develop individualized health plans
• Educate students and staff on health practices, hygiene, and disease prevention
• Respond promptly to emergencies and implement crisis management protocols
