Qualifications:

• Active RN license in Virginia (or compact license)
• Current BLS/CPR certification
• Previous experience in school nursing or pediatric nursing preferred
• Strong assessment and communication skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of an interdisciplinary team
• Excellent organizational abilities and attention to detail

Responsibilities:

• Deliver direct nursing care to students, including medication administration, first aid, and chronic condition management
• Create a safe, healthy environment by implementing individualized health plans
• Collaborate with educators, parents, and healthcare providers to support student wellbeing
• Maintain accurate health and immunization records according to state and local policies
• Provide health education and promote wellness initiatives within the school community
• Respond effectively to emergencies and provide crisis intervention as needed
