Qualifications:

• Active RN license in Illinois
• Proven experience as a school nurse (required)
• Sharp assessment and critical thinking abilities
• Reliable communication and interpersonal skills
• Adaptable approach to working with diverse student populations
• Ability to maintain confidentiality and uphold privacy standards
• Current CPR and First Aid certifications

Responsibilities:

• Deliver routine and emergency healthcare services to students and staff
• Maintain health records and documentation in accordance with state and district policies
• Administer prescribed medications and treatments
• Monitor and manage communicable disease protocols
• Provide health education and outreach programs to students and staff
• Work proactively with teachers, counselors, and parents to support student wellness
• Respond swiftly to medical emergencies and coordinate care with external medical providers as needed
