Desired Experience and Qualifications:

• Current Illinois RN license, in good standing
• Certified School Nurse (CSN) credential required
• Previous experience in a school-based nursing setting preferred
• Strong clinical assessment, documentation, and communication abilities
• Ability to work effectively with diverse student populations, families, and multidisciplinary teams
• Compassionate, proactive, and organized approach to student care

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide direct nursing care, health screenings, and emergency response for students and staff
• Develop and implement Individualized Healthcare Plans (IHPs) for students with specific needs
• Collaborate with teachers, counselors, and parents to support students’ holistic health
• Administer medications and manage chronic conditions under established protocols
• Maintain accurate and timely health records per regulatory guidelines
• Participate in health education initiatives and wellness promotion activities within the school community
• Serve as a resource for communicable disease management and public health best practices
