Key Qualifications:
- Active Professional Educator’s License in Illinois with Certified School Nurse Endorsement required
- RN or CSN with strong clinical skills, school health knowledge, and commitment to student well-being
- Experience with hearing and vision screenings in educational settings
- Ability to update Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) and health plans for diverse student needs
- Strong organizational and communication skills
- Previous experience in a school or pediatric setting is highly valued
Primary Responsibilities:
- Conduct mandated hearing and vision screenings for students across the district
- Maintain and update IEPs and health care plans to ensure all students receive necessary care and accommodations
- Serve as the primary CSN for the district, bringing leadership and expertise to health services
- Collaborate closely with a dedicated team of Registered Nurses to deliver coordinated student health support
- Act as a liaison between families, educational staff, and medical professionals to promote student safety and academic success
- Participate in district meetings and provide training or health education as needed
