Desired Qualifications & Experience:

• Active and unencumbered Registered Nurse (RN) license
• At least one year of experience in school nursing, pediatric nursing, or a similar setting
• Strong critical thinking, organizational, and communication skills
• Confidence working independently as well as collaborating with multidisciplinary teams
• Familiarity with individualized healthcare plans (IHPs), emergency protocols, and chronic illness management (such as asthma, diabetes, allergies)
• Compassionate, patient-centered approach with students, parents, and school staff

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver direct nursing care to students, including first aid, medication administration, and support for acute or chronic health conditions
• Participate in health assessments, screenings, and maintenance of thorough medical records in compliance with regulations
• Educate students and staff on health, wellness, and disease prevention
• Respond effectively to health emergencies and provide care coordination for students with special health needs
• Liaise between the school community, parents, and outside healthcare providers to ensure comprehensive student wellness
