This contract opportunity spans the academic year from August 21, 2026, through June 4, 2027, and offers a consistent schedule of approximately 18 hours per week. Your nursing expertise will play a crucial role in maintaining a safe, healthy learning environment for students and staff.

What You’ll Bring:

  • Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Illinois
  • Previous experience as a school nurse or in a pediatric setting preferred
  • Strong assessment, communication, and organizational skills
  • Ability to work collaboratively with educators, staff, and families
  • A compassionate, student-centered approach to healthcare
  • Current CPR certification

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide direct nursing care, first aid, and triage to students and staff
  • Administer medication and treatments in accordance with school policies and physician orders
  • Maintain health records and ensure compliance with state immunization requirements
  • Support students with chronic health conditions and develop care plans as needed
  • Educate students and staff about health and wellness topics
  • Respond effectively in emergency situations and coordinate with external healthcare providers when necessary
