This full-time position requires a compassionate, skilled RN with school nursing experience to serve approximately 500 students. Key Qualifications:
- Active RN license in Illinois
- Demonstrated school nursing experience, ideally with K-8 populations
- Familiarity with the unique health needs of school-aged children
- Strong communication and organizational abilities
- Capacity to confidently manage student health plans and respond to emergencies
- Ability to verify and commit to the specific campus location
Primary Responsibilities:
- Oversee daily health office operations, triaging and addressing student health concerns
- Administer medications and provide first aid in accordance with district protocols
- Develop, implement, and monitor individualized healthcare plans for students with chronic conditions
- Collaborate with teachers, administrators, and parents to promote a healthy and safe learning environment
- Maintain meticulous health records and ensure compliance with state-mandated screenings and immunizations
- Serve as a key resource for health education and wellness initiatives
