School Registered Nurse (RN) in Chicago, IL

Key Qualifications:

• Active RN license in Illinois
• Demonstrated school nursing experience, ideally with K-8 populations
• Familiarity with the unique health needs of school-aged children
• Strong communication and organizational abilities
• Capacity to confidently manage student health plans and respond to emergencies
• Ability to verify and commit to the specific campus location

Primary Responsibilities:

• Oversee daily health office operations, triaging and addressing student health concerns
• Administer medications and provide first aid in accordance with district protocols
• Develop, implement, and monitor individualized healthcare plans for students with chronic conditions
• Collaborate with teachers, administrators, and parents to promote a healthy and safe learning environment
• Maintain meticulous health records and ensure compliance with state-mandated screenings and immunizations
• Serve as a key resource for health education and wellness initiatives
