Registered Nurse School Setting - Cicero, IL

We’re seeking a dynamic and caring Registered Nurse to serve as a Certified School Nurse (CSN) for the upcoming school year. In this full-time, contract role, you’ll work 37.5 hours per week, ensuring a safe and supportive environment for students and staff.

Qualifications and Desired Experience:

• Valid RN license and Certified School Nurse (CSN) credential required
• Previous experience in a school or pediatric healthcare setting strongly preferred
• Outstanding communication and organizational skills
• Ability to handle sensitive situations with compassion and professionalism
• Up-to-date CPR and First Aid certifications

Responsibilities and Key Duties:

• Provide direct care to students for injuries, illnesses, and ongoing medical needs
• Manage health records and maintain confidentiality of student health information
• Collaborate closely with teachers, families, and administrators to develop effective health plans
• Administer medications and health procedures in accordance with physician orders and school policies
• Participate in the development of Individualized Education Plans (IEPs) as related to health concerns
• Educate students and staff on wellness, preventive care, and chronic disease management
• Respond promptly to medical emergencies
