School-Based Registered Nurse (RN) - Cicero, Illinois

This temporary role is designed to provide essential health services during a maternity leave, covering two vibrant school communities. The assignment begins with onboarding on July 20th and is anticipated to last 2–3 months, offering you the chance to make a real impact at the start of the academic year.

Bring your expertise in school nursing to this full-time role serving students, staff, and families. You'll play an important part in maintaining a healthy school setting while utilizing your clinical skills in an engaging educational environment.

Qualifications & Experience:

• Active RN license required
• Previous experience in school nursing or pediatric care is highly preferred
• Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills for working with students, staff, and parents
• Ability to respond calmly and effectively to urgent health situations
• Experience with individualized healthcare plans and medication administration
• Comfortable managing multiple school locations when needed

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver daily health care to students and staff, including first aid and medication administration
• Support chronic condition management (asthma, diabetes, etc.)
• Maintain student health records in accordance with regulations
• Respond to health emergencies and provide crisis intervention as necessary
• Collaborate with educators and families to support student well-being
• Educate the school community on health and safety topics
