School-Based Registered Nurse (RN) | Cicero, Illinois

Qualifications and Experience:

• Current and valid RN or LPN/LVN license
• Previous experience in a school setting or pediatric care strongly preferred
• CPR and First Aid certification required
• Comfortable working with young children, particularly those in Pre-K
• Strong communication and interpersonal abilities to collaborate with teachers, staff, and families
• Ability to follow care plans and respond appropriately to medical needs during the school day

Role Responsibilities:

• Provide 1:1 nursing care for a Pre-K student according to individual health plans
• Administer medications and monitor health status throughout the school day
• Document interventions, observations, and any incidents as required
• Engage with educational staff to ensure seamless integration of care and learning
• Advocate for the student’s health and safety needs within the classroom
• Communicate clearly and compassionately with parents/guardians regarding health-related updates
