Registered Nurse School Setting - Cicero, IL

Exciting new opportunity available for an experienced Registered Nurse to support students and staff for the remainder of the school year. This full-time, contract position is ideal for a skilled RN with a background in both school nursing and legal nursing responsibilities. You'll provide essential care, guidance, and advocacy in an educational environment, helping create a safe and supportive atmosphere for learning.

Key Skills & Qualifications:

• Active RN license in Illinois
• Demonstrated experience as a school nurse
• Background in legal nurse consulting or related responsibilities
• Ability to communicate effectively with students, staff, and families
• Strong organizational and documentation skills
• Flexibility for a full-time schedule throughout the rest of the academic year

Primary Responsibilities:

• Deliver daily medical care and manage health plans for students with ongoing conditions
• Respond promptly to medical emergencies and administer first aid as needed
• Maintain thorough records, ensuring compliance with state and district protocols
• Provide health education to students and staff, supporting wellness initiatives on campus
• Participate in multidisciplinary meetings to advocate for students’ medical and legal needs
• Serve as a liaison among students, families, educators, and outside healthcare providers
• Support the implementation and review of IEPs, 504 plans, and other student accommodations
