Registered Nurse School Setting - Clam Gulch, AK

Step into an exciting contract opportunity as a School Nurse (RN) serving as an itinerant nurse throughout the Homer area, with the assignment running from August 19, 2026, through May 20, 2027. What You’ll Bring:

• Current and valid RN license in the state of Alaska (AK RN License required)
• Previous experience as a school nurse or working with children and adolescents in clinical settings preferred
• Strong assessment and clinical skills, with the ability to manage multiple school sites in an itinerant capacity
• Excellent communication, documentation, and organizational skills
• Flexibility, self-motivation, and a passion for supporting K-12 students’ health
• Ability to work independently, as well as collaborate with school staff, students, and families

Responsibilities Include:

• Delivering health care services to students across assigned schools, including first aid, assessment, medication administration, and chronic health management
• Maintaining accurate and confidential student health records
• Acting as a key health resource for students, families, and school personnel
• Managing care plans for students with complex medical needs
• Ensuring compliance with state and local health regulations and school policies
• Promoting a safe and healthy school environment through education and preventative care
