Qualifications:

• Current and valid RN license in the state of Tennessee
• Bachelor’s degree in Nursing (BSN) preferred
• Prior experience in a school setting or with pediatric populations is highly desirable
• Strong clinical assessment and critical thinking abilities
• CPR and First Aid certification required
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work collaboratively with educators, parents, and healthcare teams
• Flexibility, adaptability, and a student-centered approach

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver direct nursing care, first aid, and health assessment to students and school staff
• Manage chronic conditions, medication administration, and emergency care
• Maintain accurate health records and documentation in accordance with school policies
• Screen for and monitor communicable diseases and promote public health initiatives
• Coordinate with teachers, counselors, and allied professionals to foster a safe environment
• Educate students and families about wellness, nutrition, and healthy living
• Respond promptly to medical emergencies and develop care plans as needed
