Qualifications and Desired Experience:

• Current, active RN license in Colorado (or compact state eligibility)
• Previous experience in a school-based or pediatric nursing environment preferred
• Strong assessment and critical thinking skills
• Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities with students, staff, and parents
• Ability to respond calmly and effectively in emergency situations
• Comfortable collaborating within multidisciplinary education teams

Responsibilities:

• Provide direct care for illness or injuries occurring during the school day
• Administer student medications and manage healthcare treatments according to prescribed plans
• Implement individualized healthcare plans for students with chronic conditions or special needs
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date health records in compliance with state and federal laws
• Educate students and staff on topics including wellness, personal hygiene, and disease prevention
• Serve as a health resource and advocate for students and their families
• Promote a safe and healthy school environment through screenings, intervention, and prevention strategies
