School-Based Registered Nurse (RN) | Cranston, Rhode Island

Key Requirements & Skills:

• Active, valid RN license
• Prior experience as a School Nurse or in a pediatric clinical setting preferred
• Competency in managing ventilators, G-tube care, and addressing skin issues
• Experience caring for children with fragile bones and mobility limitations
• Strong communication skills and patience; comfortable assisting with an iPad for communication
• Ability to work independently while collaborating with educational and healthcare staff

Daily Responsibilities:

• Provide reliable 1:1 nursing care to an 8th grade student during transit and throughout the school day
• Monitor and manage medical equipment and feeding interventions
• Maintain accurate documentation on student health and care activities
• Remain attentive to safety concerns and intervene in emergencies
• Foster a comfortable and encouraging atmosphere to support the student’s academic and physical well-being
