Registered Nurse School Setting - Cranston, RI

Embark on a rewarding contract opportunity providing vital care and support to students within a dynamic educational environment. The assignment is reconfirmed and ready for an immediate start, running through June 2027.

What we’re looking for:

• Valid RN license, with experience in school nursing or similar pediatric settings strongly preferred
• Ability to adapt between general nursing duties and 1:1 student care as needed
• Confident clinical skills in assessments, medication administration, emergency response, and care planning
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills when working with teachers, staff, and families
• Willingness to support students on bus rides, providing care and supervision as required

Key responsibilities:

• Deliver direct nursing services in compliance with school district policies
• Manage health needs for individual students, including those requiring 1:1 care
• Respond promptly to medical emergencies and administer appropriate interventions
• Monitor and document health plans, immunization compliance, and medication logs
• Uphold confidentiality when working with student records and sensitive information
• Collaborate with educators and administrators to promote student health and wellness
• Participate in IEP or 504 meetings as required, supporting students’ individualized needs
• Provide health education to students and staff, fostering a safe school community
