School-Based Registered Nurse (RN) | Cranston, Rhode Island

This position focuses on 1:1 care for a student, promoting safety and well-being both inside the classroom and during community outings or work experience opportunities. With work hours set for Wednesdays and Fridays from 7:30am to 2:00pm, this opportunity allows you to make a difference while enjoying a regular, predictable schedule.

Key Qualifications:

• Current, unencumbered RN license
• Experience working within school settings or with pediatric populations is preferred
• Ability to respond calmly and skillfully in emergencies, particularly with seizure care
• Strong communication skills and ability to build rapport with students, school staff, and families
• CPR certification and appropriate medical clearances

Core Responsibilities:

• Provide dedicated, 1:1 care for a student during school hours and all school-related activities
• Monitor the student's health and respond proactively to their needs throughout the day
• Deliver seizure care interventions as required and follow student-specific emergency protocols
• Supervise and support the student during community outings and work opportunities, ensuring safety and medical readiness at all times
• Collaborate with educational staff to implement healthcare plans and communicate health status updates as needed
• Document care provided, observations, and any incidents in accordance with school policies
