Registered Nurse School Setting - Dallas, TX

Required Qualifications and Experience:

• Current, active RN license required
• Previous experience working as a school nurse or in a similar educational environment
• Proven ability to perform health screenings, including vision and hearing assessments
• Comfortable managing medications and developing care plans for diabetic students
• Skilled at prioritizing in a fast-paced environment with high student volume
• Excellent communication and teamwork abilities

Essential Responsibilities:

• Deliver health services to students, assessing immediate needs and providing ongoing care
• Conduct routine health screenings and document results in compliance with state and district requirements
• Administer and manage student medications according to prescribed regimens
• Oversee care and monitoring for diabetic students, including blood glucose testing and emergency interventions
• Work collaboratively with two LPNs in the health office to coordinate daily operations and ensure smooth care delivery
• Maintain accurate health records and ensure confidentiality
• Educate students, staff, and families on relevant health topics and preventive care
