FT School Nurse

Elementary School Nurse,  2026–2027 School Year

We are seeking a qualified School Nurse to support an elementary school for the upcoming 2026–2027 academic year. This is a position ideal for a nurse looking for a consistent school-based schedule.

Position Details:

• Schedule: 30 hours per week
• Assignment: 2026–2027 school year
• Setting: Elementary school (onsite)

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide direct nursing care to students, including first aid and management of acute and chronic health conditions
• Administer medications and treatments in accordance with physician orders and district policies
• Maintain accurate student health records and documentation
• Develop and monitor individualized healthcare plans (IHPs) and emergency care plans
• Collaborate with school staff, families, and healthcare providers to support student well-being
• Promote health education and preventative care within the school setting
• Ensure compliance with state and district health regulations

Qualifications:

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license for Texas
• Previous pediatric or school-based experience preferred
• Strong organizational, communication, and clinical skills
• Ability to work independently in a school environment
