Registered Nurse School Setting - De Soto, KS

Preferred Qualifications & Experience:

• Active, unencumbered RN license
• Previous experience working with pediatric populations or in a school setting
• Strong assessment, triage, and communication skills
• Ability to respond to emergencies and develop individualized health care plans
• Current CPR and First Aid certifications
• Adaptability and a collaborative spirit

Primary Responsibilities:

• Provide direct nursing care to students, including routine and emergency assessments
• Administer prescribed medications and treatments in accordance with state regulations
• Collaborate with educators, counselors, and families regarding student health needs
• Maintain accurate health records and documentation
• Support chronic disease management and health education initiatives
• Participate in IEP and 504 meetings as needed, contributing medical insight
• Promote positive public health practices within the school community
