Travel Registered Nurse School Setting - Dedham, MA

A registered nurse with school-based experience is needed to support student health at a school in Dedham, MA. This travel assignment starts ASAP through June 22nd, providing essential nursing care during the school day. Candidates with diabetic care experience are highly preferred, as several students require specialized attention for diabetes management.

Work hours are from 7:30 AM to 2:30 PM, Monday through Friday, totaling 35 hours per week. The nurse must remain on-site throughout the day, with a 45-minute lunch break. This role focuses on general nursing duties to maintain and promote the health and safety of students in a school setting.

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver comprehensive nursing care to students, including assessment, treatment, and health education
• Monitor and manage diabetic students’ needs and medications
• Maintain accurate health records and communicate effectively with school staff and families
• Respond promptly to emergencies and health-related incidents
• Follow all school policies and healthcare regulations while staying in the building during working hours

Desired Qualifications:

• Current registered nurse (RN) license
• Previous experience working as a school nurse
• Knowledge of pediatric and adolescent health issues
